A different inheritance piece - a Parker Knoll wingback chair. The client soda blasted the old finish off the legs and with a new fabric it's ready to start its second life.

This client had inherited a cottage suite and wanted new covers making for the foam seat cushions and the feather back cushions they had bought for it. The floral fabric was to be used on the reverse side of the feather cushions as there wasn't enough green fabric for both sides. Needless to say when delivery was made the floral fabric won as being the face fabric! It really is a gorgeous fabric, too nice to be hidden!

Woodwork rubbed down to remove orange varnish and oiled. Chairs ripped to frame and completely reupholstered. Subtle starburst fabric.

Just back from a short break in France where I bought some beautiful tapestries to be used on chairs. Not sure which ones yet! Here are 3 of them still in their frames.

The 2nd club style armchair has just been delivered. They are big, solid and very heavy – testament to all the springs and 'crin vegetale' (French veggie version of horse hair) inside them. They are so big I couldn't do my usual method of photographing from all angles in the workshop as I don't have the space !
When I first visited the client to look at the chairs I noticed one of them had a little hole in the original fabric on the outside arm, my finger inside felt a smooth tunnel running into the chair ! A mouse hole ! Ripping the chair down I kept an eye on this area – what was I going to find ?? See the photos and text !!
