In my second year at University studying Furniture design and craftsmanship - BA hons don't you know ; )
I decided I wasn't good enough, there were so many more gifted makers who had more experience than me. I decided the life of dust and dangerous, noisy machines wasn´t for me... the romance is a lie.
Then in my third year I discovered I would be a father, the only qualification i had was to make stuff out of wood and the only tools i had to tackle this new life were sharp and came in one hand held tool box.
My first project was a garden gate, I later made furniture worth thousands... I guess what I'm saying is, have faith in yourself and your ability to learn, improve and create magic and if it feels like the greatest challenge, maybe it's just the universe giving you the push you might otherwise have avoided.
