Bedrooms headrest are overlooked sometimes as a purely functional element when they can really set the scene for a playful, beautiful bedroom. In this project, we used CNC cutting to draw marine animals for the kids bedroom and mountains with a falling sun for the master bedroom. The sun hides a led strip, marrying design and functionality with a beautiful touch. 🌅

Custom furniture has now become our specialty. It isn't just any furniture, but elements that define the spaces, bring warmth and simple elegance through functional, creative design.

Lately, we've also been experimenting with combining white HPL and birch plywood to create contrast and balance at the same time. White drawers with wooden handles, wooden shelfs and frame with white blades that divide the space, whilst allowing air and light to go through.

We even made bathroom hooks with residual material from production... the devil is in the detail 😎

Since our adventure started 7 years ago, I always wanted to experiment with lighting, and finally last year, I took the opportunity of moving flat to design most of what I needed. Each light was designed, assembled and fitted figuring it out as I went, surprisingly working quite well with little to no prototyping!

The ceiling light has an industrial feeling, with thinner plywood blades at an angle, recalling a turbine.

The appliques use led strips and metal profiles, hidden by the wood support. I like the indirect light and the fact they look elegant and minimal even when switched off.

They are not officially for sale, it was more of a fun side project, but I thought it was worth sharing 😄

Since last summer, we've been busy working on custom furniture and I have to say it's been great fun!

We made a few desks, a storage bed, tables and benches, but we also had the opportunity to design a beautiful vinyl console in birch plywood.

It features a small drawers for CDs, lots of shelves and a convenient open box to pick your next record.

To make it more playful, we drew a vinyl on the front, with our logo. 😎😜

Last year we produced 8 pairs of our IN stools and some funky table tops for Lombarda, a mind-blowing vegetarian restaurant in Poble Nou that we would recommend to anyone living or going through the area.

Just thinking about our last meal there makes my mouth water! 🌊 We'll have to visit again soon 😎

Last weekend we had the pleasure to take part in the FAD Design Market 2024, 5 years after our epic company launch in 2019!

It's been amazing to see plenty of people interacting with our products, and we just wanted to say thanks to everyone who stopped by, listened to us, bought a piece of Hoioh and shared very kind words about our crazy little project. 💪

2024 is drawing to a close, but stay tuned, because 2025 will have plenty of surprises coming out of the Hoioh!

Stools or beside table? Our IN stackable stools can adapt to your needs and space. A beside table ready to transform into extra seats for dinner, when friends and family visit. 🥂 Quite handy with the holiday season getting close.

We call them stools, but our IN are much more than that. They make for a perfect coffee table, for example. Easy to move around, stacked or opened, wherever you need it the most when drinking tea, resting your feet, putting down a book, laptop or phone.

And they always look great! As in this beautiful flat with live bricks and a lovely vaulted ceiling.
