The results reveal that 39% of the coverage mentioned Trump alone, 38% focused on Harris alone, and 23% discussed both candidates together.

This widespread media attention of course reflects the intense public interest and competition leading up to the election. Our analysis also shows that Harris has generally enjoyed a positive media trust score, while Trump has faced greater volatility, with predominantly negative coverage.

This targeted analysis offers a clear view of their contrasting media trust levels; Tim Walz started with strong media enthusiasm, which has since declined, while J.D. Vance has shown steady improvement over time, bringing their trust levels to a similar point by mid-October.

For comparison, Kamala Harris has maintained a consistently positive media trust score, while Donald Trump has faced predominantly negative trust levels, marked by greater volatility.

The results are clear: Kamala Harris maintains a consistently favorable level of media trust, with her trust score staying above zero, though it does experience some fluctuations. In contrast, Donald Trump faces a predominantly negative media trust perception, shown by his trust score remaining mostly in the negative range, marked by greater volatility and deeper negative spikes.

Hypefactors goes beyond simple sentiment analysis by leveraging an extensive catalog of millions of entities, enriched by several relevant AI-driven factors to assess both media impact and trust in a comprehensive way. This approach provides a nuanced understanding of media dynamics.
