♻️ A building that recycles itself – and booths that do the same ♻️
In early 2025, Bikubenfonden moved into their new home at THORAVEJ 29 – an award-winning building where ceilings became stairs, doors turned into tables, and facades became floors. A beautiful example of circular design and sustainable transformation 💚
We at PhoneAlone are proud to have contributed with our eco booths, developed together with designer Sara Martinsen.
🌿 Made with 18 mm raw particleboard with ultra-low formaldehyde emissions – (0.05 ppm - half the typical standard)
🌿 Acoustic felt: 100% recyclable PET (60% recycled, 40% bio-based)
🌿 Soundproofed with 100% natural expanded cork insulation (ICB)
The booths blend in naturally with the building's warm, honest aesthetics – and offer calm, flexible spaces for meetings, focus and deep work 🙌
✨ As Camilla Borggaard, Head of Communications from THORAVEJ 29 puts it:
“The booths have added both functional value and aesthetic quality to our work environment at THORAVEJ 29. They create space for immersion in an open and vibrant house and match our vision of responsible transformation through sustainable materials and thoughtful design. We experience that they have become a natural and appreciated part of our members’ daily lives.”
