The past few weeks have been pretty crazy.

Paris. Milan. Studio Movie Night. Lisbon. Alcobaça.

We got to see and hold the very first glass prototypes of a new project in Portugal, kicked off several new projects, and started work on our very first museum project. ✨

And then there was something we’ve been dreaming about for years: our first Pop-up Café. We finally made it happen, and it turned out better than we hoped. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and made it such a special experience.

Starting next week, we’re heading to Copenhagen for . And right after that comes what will probably be our biggest project so far.

I’m incredibly excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more soon. 👀

Sometimes it feels like everything is happening at once. And honestly, that’s exactly how we like it!

Back in Portugal. And back at .

Two years ago, I had the opportunity to take part in a residency here for the first time. That experience had a strong impact on me.

Coming back to this place now feels special. Familiar, but also new.

This time, my focus is on glass production, close to Nazaré.

What I appreciate most about it is that ideas don’t remain just sketches on paper.

I can test designs directly within the production process, immediately evaluate details, and better understand how form, color, and material come together in reality.

That’s where design becomes truly exciting to me.

Not only in the concept itself, but in the moment something becomes real — when a design meets production and both improve each other.

I’m also spending a few days in Lisbon to gather impressions, have conversations, and create space for new thoughts.

Another meaningful part of this journey is collaborating with designer . Exchanging ideas with other creative people always opens new perspectives — especially when craftsmanship, industry, and a clear design approach come together.

I’m grateful to be back here.

In a place where history, production, and contemporary design exist so closely side by side.

What inspires you more: the very first sketch, or the moment when you can test an idea directly in production?

For this year’s studio events, we created a limited shirt edition:
White tees with a blue back print and a small logo on the chest.

Our events were supported through the Creative Connection program by , aiming to strengthen connections between the creative industry and local businesses.

The creative scene is an important part of Stuttgart and deserves more visibility and support.

Areal Süd is contributing to exactly this by supporting creative studios and offices across the city.

We showed Beautiful Losers, served free popcorn, and built real creative community.

Last week, we hosted a small movie night at studio creative underdogs.

People came together, shared thoughts, stayed for drinks, met new faces, and exchanged ideas.

Low-pressure.
Open.
Human.

Community events like this remind me how important exchange is.

We need conversations to discover new perspectives and spark new impulses.

Popcorn and drinks were on us.

My approach is simple: keep it low‑threshold and use creativity as a tool to bring open‑minded people together.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and made the evening so inspiring.

We’re excited to share that our design “C” was selected as a Top 10 finalist in the re:think design competition by Nowy Styl and KUSCH+CO

The competition explored circular soft-seating concepts based on a single material, developed with Fraunhofer CCPE.

Our concept “C” treats monomateriality as a sculptural principle: a continuous C-shape forms a self-supporting structure, seamlessly integrating seat and backrest. No mechanical connections—stability comes purely from geometry.

Using a 100% CCPE-based material, the project shows how reduced construction and material consistency can support truly circular solutions.
