The Javaplein Vintage Markt is back on!! 🙌🏻✨🙌🏻✨

This Saturday, 11th April, from 10:00 - 17:00, come visit us for Amsterdam’s most fun and cozy vintage treasure hunt.

It’s a full circle moment for me: in 2015 this is where my journey as a hobby vintage seller started. Later, when I took over the shop I organized the market for a couple of years, and now I’m back simply selling here again. I still feel just as excited to be part of it all (thank you and .nl) 🥰

Personal update: Slowness ahaed, and seeking a dog foster 😴🐶

I hope you all had a wonderful time over the holidays, and was able to slow right down. 🐌🐢🐌🐢

A few weeks ago, I finally uncovered the source of some pesky health issues that I’ve had for years, if not decades. Great news: it’s curable 🥳 Bad news: I’m gonna have to live extremely healthy and manage my stress levels carefully for several months ahead. 🙁

is my livelyhood and I can’t just stop working (nor do I want to). But you may find I’m slow to respond sometimes, or drop a ball here and there (what’s new though 😉) Thank you for your patience in that case 🙏🏻 As luck would have it, I have great people around me, both customers, friends and colleagues, and I always feel supported ❣️❣️

My mother (who’s had a good, long life) is also in hospice care. I’m just back from Sweden, but I may have to go back at a moments notice. I hope the workshops in January and February can still go ahead, but I have to plan everything by ear. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Lastly, I’m looking for someone to foster Coco for about 6 months. It’s a really tough decision to make, but giving her the love and care she deserves just isn’t working possible for me right now. She’s the sweetest little dog, but still quite afraid of the big bad world (men especially). She needs a patient person who can take her on wonderful nature walks often. In return she’ll give you more love than you’ll know what to do with. Please DM me if this is something you’d consider 🤎🐶

Endings and beginnings ahead for Found in Sweden….For the last 5 years, I’ve been running my little shop on Javaplein. Sometimes alone, and sometimes with inspiring colleagues .nl . End of the year, my contract for the space ends, and I have to move on. 🚌 📦

I’m both sad and excited for what’s next…I love what I do, I get to work with my hands and be creative, meet wonderful people, and teach kids and adults what I know. I am free to shape my ‘job’ into what I want it to be, and that’s a privilege. ✨

I have already found a new place for my business, and will share that space with .vintage and . It’s a big, fun, building with lots of room for my workshop, vintage workshops and furniture.

Exactly how things will look after December 31st is still a bit unclear, and I like it that way. Plus, it also appears I bought a house in Sweden, so there’s many new ‘projects’ taking off 🙃

For now, the shop will still be where it is, and some of Found in Sweden will also slowly take its shape in the new space. We call it ‘Yellow’ . Feel free to guess why 😉 Doors open on November 1st, H.J.E. Wenckebachweg 77.

Yes yes yes, it’s back on! Vintage fanatics will once again unite on our sweet Javaplein on the 11th October, from 10:00 - 17:00 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

Expect the usual, vinage goodies in all shapes and sizes: clothes, furniture, accessories, jewelry etc.
