This exceptional collection of Commodes, crafted by Sandro Petti in the 1970s, is truly unique. One of the Commodes features the Sandro Petti signature label, making it a rare find since many items attributed to him do not carry his mark. Each piece boasts a wooden framework topped with a tinted mirror and adorned with brass accents. The body and three drawers are elegantly wrapped in wicker. Bed with large Headrest by Mario CEROLI, 'Bocca della Verità' by POLTRONOVA, 1972⁠

The headboard of the Russian pine bed frame is heightened with symbolic meaning through a modern interpretation of the "Bocca della Verità" (Mouth of Truth). Ceroli draws inspiration from a large, disc-shaped marble relief dating back to Roman antiquity, which has been housed in the Roman church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin since the 17th century. According to medieval legend, anyone who places their hand inside the bearded face's mouth while failing to speak the truth loses their hand.⁠

Wooden Bed made of Russian pine with cross-cutting grain, depicting the 'Mouth of Truth'. Stamped by the artist and Poltronova. ⁠

The Mouth of Truth is a marble mask in Rome, which stands against the left wall of the portico of the Santa Maria in Cosmedin church, in Piazza della Bocca della Verità. According to enduring medieval legend, it will bite off the hand of any liar who places their hand in its mouth.⁠

The iconic armchair uses a chrome-plated frame with back- and seat-cover upholstered in cowhide; the back can be tilted. The chair is stamped with signatures, numbering and the producer's logo.

The LC1 chair, designed in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand, is an icon of modernist furniture. Inspired by British safari chairs, this functional "equipment for living" eschews traditional heavy upholstery in favour of a minimalist tubular steel frame.
