An extension and reinterpretation of Helge Sibast's minimalist No 1 Side Table from the late 1950s — designed with the insight of Bodil Sibast, Helge's daughter, who followed him into furniture and carpentry. The table follows his founding principle: a chair should never disappear beneath a table, it should stand beside it. Its narrow, understated form is built to let the chairs take center stage, with extension panels that hide away in a concealed compartment beneath the top.

Created for dk3’s tenth anniversary, the Ten Table combines substantial solid wood with surprisingly light visual details. Its tabletop has a gently organic outline and sloping edge, while the vertically grooved legs required a specially developed milling technique. The result puts craftsmanship and the natural character of the wood at the centre.

Mogensen drew the design from a trip to Andalucía, where he encountered a traditional chair style with wide armrests rooted in Spain's medieval, Islamic-influenced furniture craft. He stripped away the ornamentation and kept only what mattered — solid oak, saddle leather, and armrests wide enough to rest a cup or glass on.
