Als "Malweiber" wurden Künstlerinnen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts beschimpft, die Akademien waren ihnen verschlossen. Gabriele Münter (1877-1962) gehörte zu den ersten Frauen, die nach langem Ringen sagen konnten: Beruf Künstlerin.

Viafarini è lieta di annunciare lo scambio con EAC Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo di Montevideo, Uruguay. L'accordo nasce per offrire agli artisti di entrambi i Paesi l'opportunità di fare un'esperienza significativa all'estero, per arricchire le rispettive ricerche e promuovere il processo di internazionalizzazione.

Il presente Open Call seleziona un artista italiano per una residenza di un mese a Montevideo ospite di EAC Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo, in un mese da concordare con l'artista tra aprile e novembre 2020.
L'opportunità copre: le spese di viaggio dall'Italia, grazie al supporto dell'Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Montevideo, l'alloggio e l'uso dello studio situato presso la sede di EAC.

Viafarini concorda con l'artista selezionato l'acquisizione di un lavoro, per il fundraising delle attività dell'organizzazione.
