About Us

In the spring of 2004, Eric Chan, a Chinese Canadian working in the furniture industry in Shanghai, founded Studio FH with his partner, who shared the same avid interests in hi-fi, designer furniture, and all the finer things in life. They came up with a unique formula to turn their interests and hobbies into an exciting and successful business.

From a humble beginning in a small，old house in Yu Yuan Road, the business expanded rapidly in just a few years. In 2006 Studio FH relocated to the Hua Shan Rd showroom, with a over 400-square-meter showroom and a shopfront (Studio Box) at street level to showcase the latest products. It is now the only business in Shanghai, perhaps in the world for that matter, to promoting a better lifestyle, encompassing Hi-fi and AV equipment, designer furniture, lighting and other home-improvement products, all under one roof. Since October 2010, Eric has assumed control of the company, having bought out his partner’s share-holding. The company is today run by a team of 10 young and vibrant staff, dedicated to providing professional service to their valued customers. With success, Studio FH has gained entry into a new arena – as authorized local dealers of several international companies manufacturing products in China. Since 2013, Studio FH started to represent the leading outdoor furniture brand Fermob in Shanghai and is proud to be their first partner in Greater China. These arrangements enable Studio FH to offer premium products at affordable prices to its retail as well as institutional customers. Studio FH owes much of its success to the support of their many – and ever increasing – loyal customers, most of them expatriates, who often refer SFH to their circle of friends. In spring 2015, Studio FH established a showroom in Hong Kong as an expansion to reach out new customers in the sector. Inheriting the same DNA from the Shanghai head-office, the Hong Kong branch is committed to deliver the same product quality and service level. The Honk Kong office is headed by Alan Tam, a UK trained architect working in interior decoration and design.

As a brand new start for 2017, Studio FH has moved to Xingfu Lane (幸福里)，an artsy pedestrain walk coverted by an old factory complex. The new highly visible street facing showroom will help Studio FH to reach out broader clientele in the area.
