So sad to hear of the death of Audrey Sage, Rob’s Mom on January 3rd.
We remember her when Rob had live auctions in Pottageville, Ontario.
She was always smiling and it was very apparent she loved working at the auctions with Rob.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sage Family at this sad time!🙏🙏
With profound sadness, our family announces the passing of our much loved and respected mother, Friday Jan. 3 2025.
Mom was in her 95th year, and we feel blessed to have had her for so long, but still not long enough.
She passed peacefully with family surrounding her, holding her hand, as she gently slipped away.
We are thankful we all had our chance to say goodbye and tell her how much we loved her. We realize that is a precious gift, for her and especially us, that not everyone is given.
She will be forever in our hearts, and deeply missed.
For the last 40 years Mom had a great love and appreciation of antiques and auctions.
I opened my antique store in 1984 and for ten years she was my business partner. We were standard fixtures at almost every local antique auction, and rarely missed a Henry Kahn or McKenna auction!
After we moved from the store, I started doing antique auctions, and mom was clerking and doing setup for almost 25 years. She clerked into her mid 80's, and was still helping with setup two weeks before her 90th birthday!
When the pandemic forced us to do online auctions I kept her updated about the quickly changing business.
After she moved to the long term care home, we did an online auction of her collection, and she told me she was amazed at the prices!
She loved the auction business, and enjoyed meeting the 100's of people who attended.
It was a big part of her life, and I thank all of you who contributed in any way to the enjoyment she received.
Thank you
Rob Sage
