What's it like working with your best friend? Well, for one, she won't pose for photos, so here we are from like, 2024. And by law, I'm supposed to pay her for her work. Even if she doesn't keep good records, apparently I have to.

Jokes aside, it was the best decision ever. The first summer I turned busy...I called Jill in a panic. She answered the way she always does when I try to drag her into something.
"Uhhh....okayyyy..." and now here we are.

In all honesty, Jill is the rarest gem. Our client's love her eye for design, her skill with power tools and her ability to make their dreams a reality. Jill is a natural DIYer, able to turn something old into something new. She is passionate about sustainable living, taking our clients donations and making sure they go to people who need it most.

Not only does she work with our team, but she also owns a pottery business . Check her out at ! Jill, we are so grateful to have you until you get too popular then we will just make you work anyway.

This is crucial when you are trying to tackle a large pile. Every night, put away one more item than you wore. Wash one more dish than you put in the dishwasher. Donate two mugs if you buy a new one.

We call this our “in one, out one” rule and it can apply to all the things. Starting small, with manageable goals, is the best way to face the overwhelm!

Welcome back, Morgan!!

We are so happy to have this girl in the mix, after her mat leave. Morgan has been busy with her 2 sweet boys, watching our label placement from afar. If you're wondering who standardized all our processes, it's her ☺️.

There's a reason she's so good at what she does - she has an eye for design, photography and is a classic creative (you can see more at .j.photography ). She brings a level of professionalism to each project, while intuitively being able to meet our client's organizational needs.

We first met Morgan when she volunteered for our project and we noticed her skill set & work ethic immediately. She was born to make things beautiful!

Downsizing can be the most daunting task, especially if you are on your own. So how can we help?

We have a universal issue - it's in EVERY home we enter (us, too)!
So how do we deal with it? It comes down to daily habits - so here's where to begin:

1. Eliminate immediately - Anything that's recyclable, put in in the trash. Flyers, envelopes, cover letters with no information - get rid of it before it even lands on the counter.
*re: schoolwork - I only keep what's "cute" (drawings or stories). But math quizzes and half-coloured calendars? Immediately no.

2. Sort right away between the following:
- trash (bin it)
- keep for filing (file it in a small container near by, not all the way in your filing cabinet)
- address (you need to deal with it, so stick it somewhere you will see it like the side of the fridge or a clipboard)
- reference (you want to access but it isn't urgent - use a magazine file)

3. Address - most likely, whatever you need to "do" will take you at MOST 5 minutes. Can you deal with it now? Great. Go for it. Does it need to wait? Put it somewhere obvious where it will drive you crazy until it's done.

Our fave products for paper management?
1. File folders - keep everything upright and accessible (fits nice on a counter/shelf)
2. Clear plastic stackable storage works for important documents, photos, recipes, etc.
3. Cute decor boxes are a perfect place to store sentimental items/photos.
4. Letter holder/pot lid dividers keep notebooks, journals and day planners upright and easy to grab.

Every team needs a Jenny. Our first official hire back in 2021, Jenny left a life of travel to be with Three Pines. Ever since, she's been making us (and our clients) giggle.

Jenny is our top-requested organizer because she will immediately make you feel like part of her family. In fact, she regularly receives invites from clients to just "hang out". Not that any of us are jealous or anything...that's cool.

Jenny specializes in working with clients who struggle to let go. She's can be direct, honest and empathetic all in the same breath. She knows the value of our client's time and is intuitive with their needs.

So why does every team need a Jenny? Because she's great at what she does and she cares enough to always strive for better. Plus, she's super fun and yells at my kids to clean the house when she comes over.

We think the world of you ! So grateful to have you here ☺️

What does it look like when we organize your Kitchen or Pantry?
Here's what we do (and what you can do, if you choose to do it solo)

- Take it all out & edit: time to check those expiry dates (the oldest date we've seen was from the 1970s!).
- Create categories based on use - baking, baking mix ins, salad toppings, nuts and seeds, etc.
- Decide what and how to contain - we don't take everything out of its original packaging. Only what makes sense (our client wanted to see all her seeds on the shelf, so we reused her cute jars to make it happen).
- Make sure everything goes back in to clean shelving - wipe it down, vacuum and get it ready for our fave part (the containers, obvs).
- Make sure most-used items are accessible (& we make sure our clients approve of placement).
- Label (this is the VIP of the whole event).
- Tidy up and take any donations so that our client can use the space right away with no tasks left.
