We’re adding some unique touches to The Bath House project!

Right now, we’re crafting custom Chevron cuts that will be installed under the Pavilion ceiling. These pieces will not only cover the exposed plywood but also bring a stylish, decorative element to the space.

In the same breath we’re cutting the corner battens for the siding — these pieces add both protection and clean, symmetrical lines that elevate the overall look of the final structure.

Great progress at the Bath House project!

We’ve started work on what we call The Pavilion — a custom extension designed with eight structural posts instead of the usual four. This design choice helps prevent deformation and ensures long-term stability.

The posts are crafted from reclaimed timbers that were carefully stored for several years. We're incorporating traditional framing joinery alongside laminated beams for a solid and visually striking structure.

In the final photo, you can see how we secured the posts using custom stainless steel post saddles. Precise dowel locations were marked and drilled to make sure everything is locked in and level.

Prepping and planning is essential for any job—big or small.

Before we begin any new task, we always hold an on-site meeting with our crew to review the scope of work. This helps us minimize errors, ensure safety, and streamline every phase of the project.

This custom squid graphic engraved onto a client’s lumber is another great example of our CNC and kilning services! We take pride in preparing each project with the utmost precision and care—ensuring every final product is presentation-worthy and built to last.

Craftsmanship doesn’t happen in a single step. For this piece, one of our skilled team members operated the sanding machine to achieve a smooth, flawless finish. We also applied epoxy to enhance the visual appeal and provide a glossy, protective coating.

Progress is stacking up daily at our Bathhouse project! 💪
Here are some shots from our second concrete pour, which will form the bathhouse floors. You can spot our skilled sub-trades using bull floats to level the concrete for a smooth, professional finish. 👷‍♂️✨

Also on site — our plumber is hard at work setting up the water heater, keeping the momentum going behind the scenes.

Prepping before the concrete pour at the Bathhouse Project! 💪🌧️

We protected the stunning Douglas firs with custom octagonal barriers 🌲 and had Ocean West Tree Services expertly excavate the pour zones. One form error was caught and corrected with precise measurements 📏. With rain in the forecast, we added poly to the exposed exterior to guard against rot and protect the structure 🛡️🏠.

"The Busy Concrete Pour 🚧"

The Lopez Crew had a productive day at the Bathhouse
project! The concrete team and the electrician worked
tirelessly on the retaining walls and stairs. Here, you
can see our crew preparing the final wall for the pour.
We used stunning Black Onyx dyed concrete, and we
can’t wait to see the finished result!

"Working through the Morning Golden Hour!"

Here’s a stunning early morning look at the sunrise over our Bathhouse project in Metchosin! 🌅 Our crew is up and at it, working hard on the concrete forms for the curving patio walls. We can’t wait to see how these walls enhance the final design!

"The Challenging Retaining Walls"

Perhaps one of the hardest tasks at the Bathhouse project was the installation of the curved walls. These required a series of vertical relief cuts that helped the pieces of wood bend. Not only did we have to do this for every panel of the wall, but we also had to secure the wood so that it would stay secure during the concrete pour. After a final inspection, we got it done.
