The clean slate (space)

Well done to all that clutter, it is gone and we have a room with the things we need for that space:
What was the intent for that room/space ie; mine was a craft/ making gift baskets/ spare bedroom so I have crafts stuff in labeled boxes in the closet , gift baskets and stuff in drawers and a pull out bed for that one guest sleeper. Nothing else (sorry friends) , nothing else , goes in that room. Neet tidy, well organized room.

My sister taught me this trick, put stuff into boxes, close the lid and walk away, in a day or two if you can remember what’s in that box you can have it. If you can’t remember what’s in that box then really it wasn’t very dear to you and maybe the suggestion is : give it away , recycle throw it in the garbage
Some of that is, real good things, so I sell it or I label the box put it in storage untill I figure out what I know is the right thing to do with it
The trick is, to put it in a box with a lid and labled, my friend likes stackable clear containers with lids but I prefer a cardboard box marked with a black felt marker

Give Away
Anything that belongs to some one else or you know someone would benifit better by having it and your not useing it for whatever reason you still have it , collecting dust (giving is beneficial for your own heart) give it away. I personally take a Afternoon or
Evening and go out and deliver it to them, maybe they will be so exited to see you they will invite you in for a cup of tea or a good laugh because you’ve had it for so long.

Recycle:
It’s just that, recycle depots, do it as soon as possible put it in your vehicle right away and smile because you are helping this place we call home
Thrift stores,here we come, another way to helping others
Woman’s/ men shelters is a good place
Animal Shelters is another good place
Recycle as mush as you can. Because look I see the smile on your face already.

Be kind to yourself and don’t fret because you don’t need to throw everything out ,you do need to keep maybe more than 50%. This doesn’t mean your a pack- rat or a hoarder We just need to declutter. Either put it away or put it on display….
Box 1
to keep all photos, Sentimental things, Good books, collections, seasonal stuff, all the paraphernalia and things you use all the time.

Ok Canada we are in the middle of winter and we know spring is just a few months away. Why not think about declutter that spare indoor space that you know is just collecting stuff. So here’s the start: get 4 large boxes. Labeled 1 keep, 2 recycle, 3 give away, 4 I don’t know what to do with this(IDK)
Place the box’s out side the room or on the far side. Handle EVERYTHING, yes everything and place it in it’s perspective box… Stay tuned tomorrow for the next steps
