To honor the memory of these trees, the AEF invites wood artists, wood turners, and wood carvers to select sections of the harvested Erickson dogwood for their artistic projects.
Dogwood sections will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Location: Chapel Arts, 305 Dunlevy Avenue, Vancouver, BC.
First Saturdays Pick-Up (12:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Sep 5, Oct 3, Nov 7, and Dec 5.
Special Event Pick-Up: Vancouver Design Festival Open House at Chapel Arts on Sep 19.

Five Massive Oak slabs, one unique statement.

For Oakridge Park’s Time Out Market, we transformed five substantial oak slabs into a sculptural divider and entrance feature—bringing the character of the tree into a highly contemporary space.

From selecting and handling the raw slabs, to milling, flattening, shaping, sanding, and finishing, every stage of the process was done with the scale and natural character of the wood in mind.

This post gives you a look behind the scenes at how these enormous slabs went from raw timber to their final place at the entrance of the market.
