Grrrrreatwood is a pasion of mine that is refining into what should be a global consciousness. It is a logical and sustainable balance of using materials that would otherwise end up in landfill sites. Reuse, reduce, recycle and reclaim is the foundation on which my grassroots company is built. Currently the majority of materials comes from local construction debris and landfills, the rest from f

allen or dead trees reclaimed from my property in eastern Ontario, where years of wasteful logging practices and nature provides me with extensive resources. I personally salvage these beautiful, one of a kind boards, rich with character and history unobtainable in new materials and turn them into unique custom pieces including tabletops, benches, art expressions and functioning artistic furniture that will be the highlight of any living environment.

This will be the biggest log that i have ever salvaged up to date. I am excited to see the boards from this huge Red Oak that like a lot of big old trees are suffering from the erosion of the ground around the tree exposing the roots and and eventually in this particular situation the tree falls over and this is one of the ways that i salvage wood for my business.
