I was honoured to be a guest on The Wealthy Barber with David Chilton and the episode went live this morning at 8am.

We talked about something most families avoid talking about — the stuff. The personal belongings, the emotions attached to them, and why families often struggle more with “stuff” than money after someone passes.

You won’t believe the real story behind a tiny bracelet that caused chaos in a family estate—no markings, no big deal? Think again.
While going through old jewelry, I almost dismissed a small bracelet with heart charms as costume jewelry—worth maybe $10-$20.
But the woman I was helping looked straight into my eyes and said, "You need to include this."
Turns out, that little bracelet caused serious problems in her mother’s estate. No markings, no precious metals—just a simple piece.
It made me realize: don’t dismiss the small stuff. Sometimes, the tiniest details hide the biggest issues or stories.
We often overlook what seems insignificant—yet it could be a key part of a bigger puzzle or a serious red flag.
Maybe it’s time to look closer at what we tend to ignore.
