Keep goin’ ❤️❤️❤️ Every few months we unearth some new photos or videos from growing up with my Mom and Dad. This is my Dad teaching me to drive standard circa 2011. The best thing about him was that he always believed in people more than they believed in themselves. He showed you the light.

After losing my Mom and Dad *everything* I cared about and wanted in life changed. Now I long for simplicity and peace whereas a few years ago I was so career driven that I genuinely had blinders on to what truly matters in life (to me).

PAPA!!!!! The original girl Dad and greatest of all time 🩷 Two daughters, two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter. Inspired friends and family to move to Canada from Glasgow and build a life here.

My sister and I kept talking about how proud his own Mom would be to see the beautiful family and life he built, and how deeply cherished he was by everyone around him (always) and in his final days.

He was the steadfast force in my life for as long as I can remember. Nan and Papa bought a trailer when I was born. They would take my sister and I for the whole summer, every summer growing up. Some of my parents’ friends didn’t even know they had kids 😂😭 It was the ’90s.

Those summers at Springvalley were our fondest memories. Papa was always tinkering with something, taking it apart or figuring out how to fix it. So much of what I know about love comes from the life Nan and Papa made together. The love they gave to my parents and each other. They also luckily accepted my Dad into my Mom’s life even though he was an outspoken menace 😂 they gave him unconditional love he truly needed.

He could build or fix anything and everything. We discussed every square inch of my home. He would give me instructions from his hospital bed, I’d go home, finish the project and come back with photos and videos. He believed in me long before I believed in myself. Even in his final days, he was explaining how to build a simple pulley system up the side of my front yard. Disguised in a dog house. I’ll likely build it one day, and I already know I’ll wish I could show him.

Beloved by all dogs and children because he was the safest spot to land.

A loving husband to my Nan for 58 years. They are the epitome of a happy marriage and true love. I’m sure my parents are greeting him on the other side with open arms. I keep telling Nan they’re likely having more fun than us here 😵‍💫🥲

Papa would tell me that the saddest and happiest days of his life happened in the same week: his Mom died in Scotland, and I was born in Canada. Pain and joy will always co exist.

If it’s not Scottish it’s CRAP!!! ❤️❤️❤️
