Thomas Reid founded Tom Reid’s Furniture in a tiny store on Simpson Street back in 1968. After a few relocations and countless expansions, Reid’s has grown to be the largest locally-owned furniture store in north western Ontario. Reid's is affiliated with Brandsource, which is Canada's largest furniture buying group. This affiliation allows independent retailers to pool their resources in an effort to meet and exceed the buying power of the big box competitors, while still providing the "local" service. Reid’s Furniture has enjoyed consistent growth thanks to a loyal customer base and an experienced team of dedicated employees. Our sales team has a combined total of experience in the business of well over a hundred years! It is our mission to be the best home fashion store in our community. Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone as we wish heartfelt congratulations and a happy retirement to Dwight! 🎉

After more than 34 years of dedication, hard work, and commitment to the Reid’s Furniture family, Dwight is beginning a well-deserved new chapter.

Since joining Reid’s Furniture on June 17, 1992, Dwight has made a lasting impact on our team and on the many customers and coworkers he has helped over the years. His dedication, kindness, and willingness to lend a hand whenever needed have earned him the respect and appreciation of everyone who has had the pleasure of working with him.

While we’re sad to see him go, we’re incredibly grateful for the many years of memories, laughter, hard work, and friendship he has shared with all of us. His presence will certainly be missed around Reid’s Furniture.

From everyone at Reid’s Furniture, thank you, Dwight, for everything you’ve done over the past 34 years. We wish you nothing but happiness, good health, new adventures, and plenty of time to enjoy everything retirement has to offer.

Dwight’s last day will be this Sunday, so please stop by to say goodbye and wish him well on this exciting new chapter.
