Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sales orientation, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. The Sales Associate will play a key role in driving sales, maintaining merchandising standards, and ensuring store operations run smoothly.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding
Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations
Uphold store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
Utilize effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or suppliers
Demonstrate strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail sales or customer service preferred; experience in technology or product demos is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
Basic math skills for handling transactions
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone
Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
A positive attitude, professional appearance, and a passion for sales and customer service
