You don't always have to be productive.
You don't always have to be doing something for someone else.

Sometimes, you just need to take a little time for you.

Make a cup of tea.
Sit somewhere quiet.
Pick up a project.
Create something just because you enjoy it.

Give yourself permission to pause.

You deserve a little time to simply breathe, create and be. ✨

There’s something wonderfully calming about repetitive, creative activities. 🧶

Stitching, knitting, crocheting, painting… those simple, rhythmic motions give your mind something gentle to focus on and can help you slow down and be present in the moment.

Sometimes, we just need to keep our hands busy and let our minds breathe. 🤎

Sadly, it’s just about that time again. This is the first year of preschool for Jensen & grade one for Trygve. My oh my, time sure does go fast. 🌸🌸

These back to school boards have an acrylic space to write in their answers each year, at the beginning, & at the end of the year. “The First Day of” is attached with Velcro & you can take it off to swap with the last day.

You were never meant to be cookie cutter. 🤎

When you learn a new craft or skill, you're not just learning how to make something. You're learning how to think, experiment, problem-solve and find your own way of doing things.

Use the original as inspiration. Learn the techniques. Follow the pattern.

And then… make it yours.

Change the colour. Try a different fabric. Add something unexpected. Leave something out. Put your own little twist on it.

That's where creativity really begins.

There doesn't have to be one "right" way to create. And your finished piece doesn't have to look exactly like the one that inspired you.

Let yourself be curious. Let yourself experiment. Let yourself create something that's uniquely YOU.

Because the world doesn't need more cookie-cutter.

It needs your ideas. ✂️🧵✨

As our community begins to find its footing again… 🤎

It certainly doesn't mean everything is back to normal.

For those who lost homes, belongings and so much more, the road ahead will be long. Our hearts are with you.

For those of us who are able, there are also ways we can help our community begin to rebuild — and one of them is supporting the local businesses that help make our community what it is.

Choosing a local maker.
Sharing a local business' post.

Small acts of support can help keep our community's local businesses here for the future.

There is a lot of healing and rebuilding ahead.
