Hours are highly flexible. Pay is primarily hourly, but is dependant on the abilities/skills of the candidate.
~ Love working with people!
~ Good basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge. (Eg. debits vs credits, basic general journal entries, and what types of accounts are classified as liabilities, assets, or owners equity, different types of financial statements)
~ We may be willing to train, depending on other qualities of candidate.
~ Excellent basic computer knowledge, particularly Windows’ file management knowledge (copy / move / paste / rename / maintain good file tree or file directory structure).
~ Great communication and customer/supplier service skills
~ Love Strathroy-Caradoc, and supporting our local communities and independent and family businesses.
SOME ACCT/ADMIN TASKS: (WE WILL PROVIDE FULL TRAINING ON OUR POS SYSTEM)
~ Extensive use of custom POS system to enter and maintain customer sales, supplier orders and Inventory items.
~ Continuous follow up on these same sales, supplier orders, and inventory
~ Produce numerous financial and management reports using POS system.
~ Track and claim various subsidies, such as advertising co-op claims and supplier rebates.
~ Proactively identify and follow up on any issues that arise from customer orders.
~ Maintain computer files, especially our databases containing supplier and product information, and our policies and procedures (How-to) database.
~ Customer Service: Receive and document issues that arise. Resolve by identifying the issues and concerns, and making the necessary arrangements with suppliers, servicers and customers. Make vendor claim-backs for expenses incurred.
~ Provide executive assistance to the owner for various administrative tasks.
