This dining table is the second piece my client had me refinish for her. It came to me with a very dark solid finish. Once it was stripped, sanded, stained, and sealed, the parquet-style top finally became the feature it was meant to be. I love when refinishing doesn’t just “change” a piece, but actually brings back the detail that was hiding underneath.

(Before starting this project, I let my client know that the veneer was swollen on one of the leaves. I told her it’s going to be a darker blemish in that spot. She said she only uses one leaf anyways no worries.)

Another Client Set Done!

Lisa wanted her solid cherry Kincaid bedroom furniture updated. She chose the prettiest drawer liner, matte black paint, medium wood tops and champagne pulls. I just love how this set turned out! 😍

There’s a mirror too but I completely forgot to include it in the photos.

Custom set done!

Megan chose this set from my inventory. She sent me a photo for her color and hardware inspo. I started by sanding everything down to bare wood. I did 3 different layers of paint wash to achieve this color. I added a bit of ebony stain to my last dark wash to achieve the desired color. Pine is notorious for that light yellow orange graining when you stain so I thought paint washing was the best way to go to keep the grain as subtle as possible and I think it worked! The skirts were rounded off to modernize and I searched amazon tirelessly for some unfinished wooden pulls. When I finally found some, they were a little pricy but I paid extra for the unfinished. Unfortunately, when they arrived they had a thick varnish on them which is what I was trying to avoid. I tried acetone and stripper and it wasn’t coming off so I ended up having to sand 24 little wooden handles followed by doing the same 3 paint washes and then triple sealing everything in a satin topcoat. So quite the journey on this set! But I’m glad I could make my clients vision come to life. 🙌 🫶

This sweet client picked this bedroom set straight from my inventory and trusted me to bring her vision to life.

She chose a soft creamy white finish, light natural wood tops, and satin nickel hardware — which honestly felt a little nostalgic for me because it’s been SUCH a long time since someone requested satin nickel. I normally lean toward champagne gold or brushed brass these days, but seeing this set come together reminded me how timeless and clean satin nickel can look.

✨CLIENT TRANSFORMATION ✨

This beautiful vintage cabinet went from heavy orange oak to a soft, organic wood finish that feels timeless but still warm.

We stripped back the old finish and completely refreshed it while still preserving all of the gorgeous original character and detailing. I love how modern it feels now while still keeping its vintage charm.

This one was picked up by its owners on Sunday and is officially back home ! 🫶🏻 Now we’re working on her table.

(I can take them off if you don’t want them). Everything has been triple sealed with a satin topcoat for added durability.

I have a solid oak dresser available for purchase. I went with a soft white and gold brushed brass hardware. The drawers all glide beautifully and have little drawer stoppers on them to keep them from pulling right out. Priced at $800.

You might recognize this set!

It was sitting a bit too long on marketplace so I decided to lighten up that dark mahogany stain. I swapped out the original handles for a prettier modern champagne gold. The champagne pairs beautifully with that light wood stain and the green. Since I changed the hardware, I decided to also update the feet that way everything is modern and cohesive.

I love how these little modifications totally changed the look of this set. It’s a much more versatile design now and would look beautiful in any space.

I added drawer stops to keep the drawers from falling out. It makes the furniture much more functional and perfect for a kids room or nursery. The drawers all work great.

Everything has been triple sealed with a satin topcoat for durability.

Finally getting back to work. That virus was not a nice one. I have a few pieces ready to go. I usually try to list on the weekends but space is limited here so I’ll be listing a piece everyday til they are all posted.

This one turned out way different than I intended but I’m super happy with the end result. I can see this piece in a cute little nursery.
