My life here on Shingle Lake this morning as I am getting ready to head to Ontario to visit my daughter, brother, and some dear friends. This will be my last visit of it’s kind to London as my daughter is following me to this beautiful province of Nova Scotia in less than 2 months. ( My girl is a nurse and we can use more of them here).

A lovely customer from Shelburne made a recent purchase with me. The funny part of the story is that she told her husband she was not going to be shopping anymore and not 20 minutes later she saw my antique dovetailed trunk and had to have it. Here is a picture of it in her home.

Again sharing the after picture - before the BEFORE picture. I knew this dresser was solid with good bones but so many things about it were contradictory. The beautiful book marked veneer fronts were hidden under heavy dark stain and lacquer for one thing. The wood scrolling detail between the top and bottom drawers had to go. It did not suite the large drawers. Anyways it’s now ready for its next home and adventure.
