You still need to visualize this one.

The soon to be kitchen island on lockable black cast iron wheels. Adding an industrial towel bar with hooks to the side. I think it’s going to make a cute eclectic addition to someone’s kitchen.

Will share once she is all done.

It’s been a very long time coming for this gorgeous set of Mid Century Modern Dressers.

I love the back story to where these came from. A couple had just immigrated from England. The husband chose this set from a store called “Palmers” along the Armdale Rotary in 1967. The wife refused to proceed to her new home until she saw what her husband had purchased. They passed the test. That was 1967. Their kids tell me that their Mom and Dad have been together for over 70 years. Unfortunately due to age and health they had to leave their homes for alternative living situations.

So now these will live on in another home. Hopefully to maybe see the same kind of love that their original owners had between them.

Well I am having fun with this piece. When I purchased it the seller had it described as a dresser. That it is not. I just thought cool antique piece. Quite rustic.

Then boom it hit me - what a great little kitchen island this piece would make.

My extremely handy neighbour added some trim work to the back and extended the top just slightly. It’s been sanded, cleaned and the top stained. Now it needs its topcoat and base painted. Going to do the colour”Cast Iron” by FMP to the base of this bad boy. . A favourite of mine and many. Cool cast iron wheels with brakes will be added.

That’s my vision. You may not see it yet.

Think that perhaps I should add a small towel bar at the side. What are your thoughts? Yay or nay? …..

Think it would be a great addition to a small kitchen or a rustic cottage.

Funky antique parlour like table. Cross between an Eastlake and a Jenny Lind. Love the turned wood spindles and the pretty aproned drawer and back.

The very detailed scalloped apron was missing along the sides.Replaced with plain wood panels.

Still have not decided how to complete this one.
