Spadoni's Furniture is your local provider for affordable and beautiful accent furniture and appliances. The building was a small two story structure.

The original Spadoni's dates back to 1918 when it's founder Adolfo Spadoni started a bycicle repair shop on the corner of Cathcart and James st. Several years later he purchased the neighbouring building at 185 James st. The original business operated as James street hardware and furniture Co. for approximately 80 years where the location went through innovation and construction throughout its tim

e and finally became what is known as 185 James street. After the business closed in 1991 and sadly stood vacant for 5 years, Adolfo's grandson Alan Spadoni decided to carry on his grandfathers legacy and re opened the building in 1996. when he opened the building again he started with garage sale items later adding used furniture. The business thrived and has now grown, filling the once magnificent building. Spadonis now displays over 20,000 square feet of furniture, appliances and other household goods. The building itself contains beautiful craftsmanship and history. Such as Sault Ste. Marie's oldest operating and licensed elevator dating back to 1948 where Alan's father Alfio helped with laying the elevators foundation. The three generations of Spadoni men have always been known for customer service and still to this day when you enter the store you will see Alan greeting and helping out customers just like his grandfather and father are so fondly remembered for. When you come to Spadoni's furniture and appliances you still get the same service that was offered years ago which makes the shopping experience unique and that you only receive from a locally owned and operated business and from three generations of men who have always strived to bring you the best customer service possible.
