We recently had someone reach out who asked a great question, "Do you have any brown soapstone?" What transpired was an impromptu mini lesson on the differences between soapstone used for architectural vs artistic soapstone.

The soapstone slabs that we use for homes, cottages, and businesses, have much lower talc content than artistic soapstone, thus making it hard and durable.

Architectural soapstone has a matte black look, but each slab is unique.

At any given time, we typically have 6-8 soapstone slab options for our clients, that range in the amount and colour of the veining.
