Yesterday, I had the opportunity and the privilege to offer a mini workshop to some amazing children in hospice at CHEO. Paint therapy was in full force for everyone, including me. It was humbling, funny, engaging and beautiful. The volunteers and staff are truly everday heros...and those kids, incredible.

For obvious reasons, I don't have pictures of this event, so I hugged Gordie a little harder (my own therapy) and reflected this morning on life's little moments, and what is truly important.

This vintage Eastlake dresser has been repurposed with a very important ritual in mind = the morning coffee! As a coffee bar and storage solution this beautifully constructed, solid oak piece will compliment classic to modern spaces alike. The little nook for tea bags is so sweet 😋.

This pretty bench has been brightened up with this lovely shade of blue from Fusion Mineral Paint. Perfect for a front entrance, cottage table or pretty mudroom, it provides plenty of space for bums and storage. :)

This little beauty was pretty enough, but my client wanted something a little more dramatic. Notice with the paint and glaze how all the details just pop now?! 😍

Refinished in Fusion Mineral Paint colour Wellington and glazed using Stain and Finishing Oil in Ebony. Classic!

BEFORE AND AFTER

These beauties, while solidly constructed, were mostly pressboard on top. Not a huge deal, as a fully painted piece is also gorgeous. After sanding and prepping the piece, I applied the colour Cashmere on the ladies dresser and Elmwood on the night tables. I had also recently redone the headboard to match. Val's room must be gorgeous now!

A little refresh goes a long way. From tired looking black paint to gorgeous and classy in Midnight Blue by Fusion Mineral Paint. I also applied Ebony and Cappuccino Stain and Finishing Oil to achieve this look. If you want to know how to do it yourself, come by the Studio for a quick tutorial and product choice....and a good convo too! 😀

Opened Monday to Thursday for the next few weeks until summer hours take over.

Who has a piece in their house they are staring at, right now, and think, "I NEED to do something about this?"

This lovely, smaller sized, raised table set has been given a makeover to better fit with todays trends. Still solid wood and in fantastic shape, it was no longer desired in its yellow wood state. :) Now the warm tones and classic black make it perfect for any space.

36"w x 24"d x 34"h table and each bench is 24"h
