Been a minute since the last solid wood job, bit of a love/hate relationship but the end result always makes it worth it!
Little before and after, out with the oak, in with the maple. Today’s removal and install went smoother than expected and everyone loves the end result!
Hawthorne Forge is up next for the railings. We did put up a temporary railing before leaving but it didn’t quite make the camera roll.

This Felder Group Canada jointer/planer is pretty slick! Perfectly square edges and 16” flattening potential means no more pre ripping to under 6” to flatten a board before planing. All 13 stairs treads glued up along with a mantle and couple other pieces for the stair job. Ready for stage 2 of jointing and planing! 👌🏼😏

Nice simple one all done and ready for some countertops. Going to be a nice basement bar once all finished up! 👍🏼😏

Set up and ready to go! 16” jointer/ planer combo unit with a 62 tooth spiral cutter head is going to be a big upgrade compared to the 3 bladed 6” jointer and 15” planer I previously used. Have a couple solid wood jobs coming up and can’t wait to get using it! 😏

Countertops installed last week by finishing this kitchen up until appliances are in! On to the next project this week!...

Big renovation going on at this place but my portion was to give this kitchen all new doors, counters and a few new cabinets to allow for new appliance locations. Great work by all others who did the flooring, trim, backsplash, paint, and drywall.
