We're hiring at Backyard Escape Studios - Port Stanley, ON

We build custom garden sheds, backyard studios, cabanas, and pergolas for homeowners across Ontario. If you know someone reliable, hardworking, and who actually wants to learn a trade, send them our way.

The role:
Work is split between shop days and installation days. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are in the shop. 7 AM start, eight hours of framing, cutting, painting, and prepping. Tuesdays and Thursdays are on-site: you leave early and you finish when the job is done. If the job wraps up early, you're done for the day. Some projects include overnight travel and we cover accommodations.

You'll need:
A valid Ontario driver's license and clean driving record
Comfort driving with a trailer
Comfort with power tools and basic construction
Framing or siding experience is a real asset

Pay starts at $23/hr. This is temporary to start (roughly two months), with the door open to more for the right person. A trial day can be arranged if you want to see the work before committing.

We hire on character. We want someone who pays attention, asks good questions, and makes the work better over time. Growth is recognized and rewarded here. That is not something we say; it is something we do.

Not every Toronto backyard gives you a lot to work with. This corner was tight, the fence was close, and the patio wasn’t moving. So we built around all of it. A custom 8x12 Cube Shed that fits the space like it was always supposed to be there. Graphite corrugated steel on the sides. Cedar-stained pine across the front. A Sunrise Rollups roll-up door that disappears when you need it out of the way. Clean, low-maintenance, and built for a yard that had exactly one good spot left.
