The fuel dock has to close early on Monday, March 2. The fuel dock will be closing at 2 PM, reopening Tuesday morning at 8 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

As we enter into the Family Day Long Weekend, please remember to hold your loved ones close and let them know how much they mean to you. We had the most horrific of reminders earlier this week that you might not always have the opportunity later.

We will keep the people of Tumbler Ridge in our thoughts this weekend and always, and will see you back at the dock on Tuesday morning.

As I've mentioned, we've been threatening to make some announcements regarding some new developments. Time to let you know about one of them...

Something we've been working on the last while is a rebranding of our business. We're excited to introduce you all to our new operating name of Orca Marine Fuel and Supply!

Nothing has changed with respect to ownership of the company, and our legal name and structure hasn't changed, but...changing the name to Orca Marine Fuel and Supply from Port Alberni Marine Fuels and Services (not that there's a single thing wrong with that), helps if we're looking at other opportunities. Just a little more generic, I suppose (it's also way easier to say when I answer the phone..).

And who knows, maybe more whales will come up into the harbour to check us out. We'd all love that!

We'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Looking back on our last New Year's message and reflecting on the comments of new and exciting things to come from us; we quietly implemented a couple of changes, and worked towards others. We're excited to say that we made amazing progress. I won't take up this message with details but will follow up with another post soon.

This message is about wishing the best for all of you in 2026 and we look forward to seeing you all as the seasons progress. Thank you all for your friendship and for helping make our business a success over the last almost 10 years!

Call it poor planning or bad timing, and definitely late notice, but I have to close the fuel dock tomorrow, December 12th. I will be back on Monday for the full week, then back on the 22nd and 23rd, then closed again for a Christmas and New Year's break. I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone!
