I'm feeling pretty humble today. I was asked to make a dinning room table and benches almost a year ago. This table was placed in one of the most unique homes I've ever been in. Well today the home was featured on the cover of a magazine along with my table - and on the contents page front row center. Pretty excited to grab a few copies of this magazine.

This wonderful little piece is a custom hallway table made with a slab of elm. I used the Rubio Charcoal finish, leaving the wormy sides all natural, and mounted on 22" metal hairpin legs.

These are my favorite kinds of projects...
A customer asks you to make a coffee table for him, but it has to be fire related. That's it. No other direction. Creative freedom!
A table this cool had to start with the perfect piece of live edge maple. How better to incorporate fire into it then to CNC the Maltese Cross? I then personalized it a bit more by adding his helmet number and station, and filled it with fire red epoxy. Instead of the usual metal legs I use, he asked if they could be made from wood. WHY NOT! So the next logical step was to use axes as the legs. After I sourced the perfect axes, I wedged them into the wood to create the legs. This piece was then finished in a coat of Osmos Poly X.
This has to be one of my favorite projects to date. I really enjoyed the creative freedom and the personalization of it.

A customer came to me and asked if I could make him a custom table for his boat. We started with a lovely piece of ash (forgot to take before photos), which had to be laminated and custom cut. During the consult, the customer explained how he loves Georgian bay. I decided to add a little something special to this table top and carved out Georgian Bay and filled it with blue epoxy. I put the finishing touches on it with Rubio charcoal.

6.5ft x 32-36" wide suar wood dining room table. I started by stripping off the orginal finish, then sanded it to 220 grit, filling in some small cracks with black epoxy. To finish this table I put on a coat of Odies oil and a protective layer of wood butter then mounted it on X-pattern legs painted a matte black.

A hallway/sofa table made from a 17" x 36" live edge piece of elm. Sanded down to 180 grit and stained with Rubio Monocoat charcoal. Placed on top of hairpin legs from Rusty Design. This piece had some unique wormy marks in the live edge that was left natural to show off the beauty of it.

We took this old table and sanded everything down. The legs were then painted white and the crossers we wrapped in rope. For the top of this refurbished beauty, we ink transfered nautical themed icons and finished it off with Odies Oil tinted with Cornwall's Creative Colours' aqua blue powder.

My high school shop teacher came and saw all the wood I had in stock one day, and he asked if I could make him a 10ft long live-edge bar top.
Challenge excepted!
I was able to locate this piece of suar wood, 10ft long by 32-40" wide. I filled a few of the cracks with gold epoxy - bringing him back to his mining days. Sanded this beautiful piece of wood to 600 grit and applied Odies oil.
What a finish!

The kids wanted a fish tank for Christmas and we weren't happy with anything we found in the store to place it on, so we decided to make our own stand.
We used laminated pine for the sides and for the supports, and a piece of live edge pine for the top. The whole unit was then coated in a clear water repellent finish.
