Let’s talk pillows:

1.
Don’t overcrowd the sofa. Leave room to sit comfortably but make sure to layer to add depth and a cozy, inviting feeling to the space.

2.
Mix larger pillows with smaller ones to create dimension. Adding a lumbar pillow is a great way to bring in more depth and visual interest.

3.
Don’t use the same pillow everywhere. Layer different patterns for a collected look that feels intentional.

4.
Don’t be afraid to mix these up! Incorporate different textures like linen, velvet or woven fabrics. The contrast adds depth and makes the pillow arrangement feel more layered.

5.
Pull colours from your rug, artwork, curtains or other furnishings into your pillows. Repeating colours helps tie the entire room together.

6.
Not every pillow needs a pattern. Solid pillows give the eye a place to rest and help balance busier prints.

7.
Avoid making both sides of the sofa look perfectly identical. Layer pillows in a way that feels balanced without being overly symmetrical.

8.
The size of your pillows should relate to the size of your sofa. Oversized pillows can overwhelm a smaller sofa, while tiny pillows can get lost on a large sectional.

The countertop backsplash continues seamlessly around the window, creating a custom sill that feels intentionally thought of. Beyond the aesthetic detail, this durable surface protects the walls and makes the space easy to clean.

The new window fills this work area with natural light, while the wall sconce and Roman shade add softness, warmth, and functionality with additional light and privacy.
