Carrying on its amazing legacy, this C2 has been passed along to the Madawaska Kanu Centre, so that it may enjoy several more years of life of the river. Hopefully it will help inspire and create some new champions, on and off the water!

Taking left overs/ compost and turning it into food again! That is right RE-Creations is experimenting with foods! Super simple and fun! Got some bell peppers, Serrano peppers and green onions.

So it is May 1st today, which means that the "Lets Plant Some Trees" campaign has come to a close. Thank you to all for your support and I will be making a donation to "Trees for the Future" to plant 159 trees over the weekend!

I will be back at the DIVERGENT table this weekend, unfortunately had a mishap with my shoulder last weekend. However, in my down time I sourced out and picked up some more materials, old solid maple shelving from a Loblaws that closed. This will likely get transformed into a coffee table with a very unique and REpurposed base. The base will be a surprise, but you can see the awesome wood that will make the top.

So first off I would like to mention that this table is not named after the movie. It just so happens that the pallets I acquired and the other materials going into this table are of a variety of wood species. Divergent can mean dissimilar, much like these types of wood, so hence it was.

There is a mix of hard and soft woods in the top which will give it solid construction without the weight of full on hard woods. These pieces were salvaged from large pallets locally in Ottawa. The base is made entirely out of reclaimed Hardwood beams from a garage demolition.

The rails will actually be integrated into the table top and the table will disassemble into 15 pieces:

Top - Middle, rails, sides
Base - Four legs, three cross braces, two extension rails (one at each end)
Extensions - Two end extensions

Dimensions - 39"Wx84"Lx30"H
Extensions - 39" Wx14"L
