Finally, over a year later, I can share the bathroom project I completed this winter in my own home. Had to deal with some permitting headaches, but lessons learned and overall I couldn't be happier with the result and making sure things were done to code.
I won't be taking on any similar large projects for customers, but it is a good summary of the type and quality of work that I've learned to do over the years!

Oven fan noisy or not working? Might be time to replace the motor. In this case total cost of repair was under $150, so well worthwhile!

Cold weather tip- with these early frosts and light snow take a look at your roof. You might think there have a problem with the frosty roof being colder than the one next to it, but actually it means the non-frosty one is letting heat out! Worth a check in your attic space for sources of heat leaks (old metal furnace ducts, lack of insulation, etc) as this also means extra heat is getting IN during the summer.

I'm embarrassed to admit this is mine. I don't think I forgot last year but this seems excessively dirty.

The best part about this job was the customer had tried to get multiple quotes/solutions and what they got was:
1. "Not worth it, it's going to be really expensive"
2. "It's not possible"
3. No reply
4. "I'll call you back". no reply

Another fun project, putting a door where there wasn't one and a regular door wouldn't fit or work!
