Siberian elm doesn't get talked about enough.

The grain has this natural zig-zag pattern you don't really see in other hardwoods, and a natural finish brings out this warm honey colour that's hard not to love.

22.5” × 43” x 16”, 2.5 inches thick — chunkier than our usual stock — sitting on a stance base made from the same reclaimed elm. Two wood panels, connected by a simple metal frame. Clean lines, warm wood, nothing overdone.

Works in a contemporary space. Works in a rustic one. Siberian elm has a way of fitting in without disappearing.

This one's ready to go to a new home.

Four chunky log rounds — 14 inches thick, spalted Ontario wood, salvaged from Toronto trees — now sitting in the showroom waiting to become someone's statement piece.

Sizes range from 36" round up to 3×4.5 feet, and every one rides on casters so you can actually move it.

Just off the press. 📣 Calling all History buffs — we've got a bench you'll want to hear about.

We just finished a five-foot old growth hemlock beam bench built from reclaimed wood salvaged from the Toronto Ferry Terminal — a historic building that's now the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal Wharf.

Built in 1912, this wood's got serious Toronto history behind it, discovered during excavation at Bay street and Harbour street. If you've got a connection to the city or just love the rustic, chunky beam aesthetic that's perfect for cottage country, this one's for you.

It's available for sale now, and we also have more unfinished pieces if you're looking for a different length.

First cut of the season 🪓

With the snow finally melting, we’ve got the sawmill back up and running.

Here’s Sean squaring up a willow cube side table. After kiln drying, wood naturally shifts and moves — so we bring it back to the mill to flatten and true everything up so it sits solid and level. It’s all part of working with salvaged, real wood — every piece has its own personality.
