We’re seeing more gathered skirts, fringe detailing, and softened upholstery silhouettes coming through from Lee Industries — and we’re loving the shift.
There’s a move away from overly tailored interiors toward pieces that feel more relaxed, decorative, and layered. Gathered skirts soften the architecture of a room, while fringe introduces movement, texture, and a more collected feeling overall.
The key is in the balance. When done well, these details feel intentional rather than overly traditional — bringing warmth, personality, and a sense of ease into the space.
Some of the details we’re loving most:
• softly gathered skirted bases
• monotone fringe on chairs and ottomans
• bullion and brush trim detailing
• traditional yet relaxed upholstery silhouettes
• layered textiles with more movement and texture
Are you loving this softer direction in upholstery as much as we are?
