Carpentry Workshops with Lloyd Klassen of Klassen Fine Woodworking: Update
I just discovered that a few people in the last little while have tried signing up for workshops using the link I provided in previous facebook posts and were unable to access the page. My apologies!
I have been away from NS visiting family and so only just discovered the problem with the link.
It is now fixed and so you should have no problems accessing the link in order to find out about all the different workshops being offered this coming year, including dates, times and prices.

Basic Carpentry Workshops 2025

For everyone who owns an old house and homestead that needs lots and lots of work, or for anyone else who is interested in learning a new skill, I (Lloyd Klassen of Klassen Fine Woodworking) will once again be offering skills training workshops in basic carpentry.

I had a great time last year teaching these workshops and there was great enthusiasm from students for the courses!

Starting in May, the 4 Day Basic Carpentry Workshop for Beginners will be a series of four, one day workshops, held on weekends to make them as accessible as possible. I will cover a variety of topics and skills needed for basic carpentry.

This is not a certification course but it is a course that will:

empower you to do projects that you want to do, (or need to do).

confirm your feeling that you could do it if you just had a bit more knowledge and someone to show you how to go at it.

make you comfortable with the terminology and the tools of carpentry.

give you the ability to know what tools you need (and don't need)

instill you with the confidence and skill needed to use them.

Each day will be an individual unit so that you can sign up for any day or all four days and get a discounted price

The classes will be held at Solomon Brook Farm in the New Germany area, on the South Shore of beautiful Nova Scotia Canada.
