Echo Lake Resort www.echolakeresort.ca is a family-oriented campground operating since 1943 and our goal is to deliver a quality camping experience to our customers. We’re looking for a hard-working, energetic and engaging person to join our team for the 2026 season and beyond.
Full-Time Seasonal Position April 15 – Oct 20, 2026
Echo Lake Resort offers a generous starting wage of $20.00/hr
You will be working a 5 on 2 off shift.
Job Highlights:
Enjoy a workday that is full of variety and the ability to experience the outdoors in a natural, scenic setting. Echo Lake Resort is located in the BC Provincial Park outside of Lumby, BC (one hour drive to Vernon). Stay after work and fish, go for a hike or have a campfire!
Live & Work Accommodation:
If you’d like to live at the Resort during the season, we have a 21’ trailer and washroom available.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily watercraft rentals, including:
o Cleaning & some maintenance of motorized & non-motorized rental watercraft, safety equipment & boat dock area
o Coordinating guest & visitor vehicle parking at the boat launch,
o Ensuring safe boat launching, managing a time schedule
• Groundskeeping:
o Waste collection and recycling programs to keep the resort environmentally pristine
o Perform landscaping including raking, blowing, mowing, weeding, trimming
o Assisting the owners with Cabin and Campground maintenance & building projects as well as other required tasks.
The qualified person will have the following skills:
• Good Communications Skills: to listen and work with owners and to assist customers, comfortable with children and pets, able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of the overall resort team. Willing to learn and be safety & detail oriented.
• Time Management Skills: to organize watercraft rentals and assist resort team with efficient operations and turnover of resort facilities.
• Be Physically Fit & Able to Operate Machinery (under supervision & with training)
• Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation: This is a must! The Resort is located between Lumby and Cherryville and the position will require driving a Resort vehicle to dispose of garbage.
Training: Groundskeeper & Maintenance Person will be trained, supervised and supported to use power tools, landscaping equipment and to perform maintenance tasks.
Asset Skills: Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC) and current First Aid/CPR/AED.

Echo Lake Resort is a private fishing resort located on the beautiful emerald waters of Echo Lake outside of Lumby, British Columbia, Canada. We are open Spring, Summer and Fall between May 1st through October 10 (Canadian Thanksgiving) every year.

Sharing a special ❤️ message, if you're looking for a peak summer stay in our largest Cabin 4, this post is for you!

We're rebooking for July 22 - Aug 15th, 2026 and starting with 5+ night requests. $250+taxes per night, 7 people included in base occupancy.

We know it can be really hard to find a cabin for a family vacay & that our returning guests book a year ahead, so we'll collect the requests and fit in as many guests as possible.

📣 Incoming campfire ban beginning at noon Aug 28th onwards. Do not bring firewood to the resort with you, but you can use propane firepits and rent them from us at the Store!

Effective at noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Aug. 28, Category 1 campfires will be prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety. This campfire prohibition will remain in effect until Oct. 17 at noon or until the orders are rescinded.
