Something about this season of life has pulled me back to the foundation of why I started designing in the first place.

Not perfection. Not trends. Not making homes feel untouchable.

Just creating spaces that feel good to live in. Spaces that tell your story. Spaces that work for your real life.

The show reminded me of that in the best way possible. It brought me back to the heart behind everything we do.

So with that… our new design website is officially live. 🦋

We’ve brought back virtual design packages, consultations, hourly consulting, and simplified the entire process to make design feel more accessible no matter your budget or where you live.

This feels like the start of something really special.

Last week’s episode was a big one. The comment I hear most is, “I can only imagine what your house looks like…”

Well… now you get to see it. This is our real life.

Nothing comes easy over here. There have been a lot of sacrifices behind the scenes to chase the goals we’re working toward and Glencoe has been one of our biggest challenges yet.

In the middle of all of that, we also helped Allyse and Cale create a home that finally feels like them and that’s what makes it all worth it.

Every project begins with inspiration…

But not in the way you might think.

It’s not about copying a space or recreating something that already exists.
It’s about collecting a feeling. A tone. A story.

Inspiration starts with all of those things…
and a trip to the thrift store.

Walking in with no plan, no expectations…
not knowing what you’re going to find.

That’s where the magic happens.
The pieces you didn’t go looking for are usually the ones that make the space.

You’d be amazed what’s out there.

I’ll sit here for hours pulling images, textures, colours…
but it’s those unexpected finds that bring everything to life.

Because the goal is never perfection.
It’s creating something that feels like you — layered, lived-in, and completely yours.

The calm moments.

One thing this journey has taught me over the years is that there really is no right or wrong way to design a space.

Your home should be a reflection of you — your story, your memories, the pieces you love, the things that make you feel something when you walk into the room.

I’ve never gone to school for design, and if we’re being honest… I’ve always loved breaking the “rules.”

Because the truth is, the most beautiful homes aren’t the ones that follow a formula. They’re the ones layered with personality, meaning, and the things that make the people living there feel at home.

Design around what you love.
Design around how you live.
(And of course… make sure it functions too 😉)
