I Love when You walk thru The Loose Leaves that have come off of the Trees during The Fall Months.
Or when your Driving thru them and they are Swirling beside, and behind you.
All from the Beauty of Mother Nature and Her Constant Need for Change.
We also need to do so too…

Came up with Shorts on and Scrounged around and found a Pair of Felted Wool Socks left up here from Last Winter…Made on a WoodFire in The Stove as I Seen the Neighbours had one going too!

After the Woods has been ReOpened I decided I wanted to take a walk to The Lake to see how low it was.
Considering the River that borders Our Property is pretty much dry & the bog is extreamly low.
All 3 water ways are connected. Needless to say the Lake is not Emptying into The River.
On My Way I dropped by “Jigger’s HomeStead”, where My Mother was born many moons ago to see if The Lady who now owns the place wanted to walk up with me.
We have become to know one another thru my Shop.
So while I awaited her getting ready, she told me to go to Jiggers and walk thru, as She has her camper to stay in to.
Oh my, it was like walking down Memory Lane.
How well I remember using the old cast-iron hand pump to get a drink of cold water out of the well.
And there it still sits, hooked up in the kitchen.
So I took a picture and asked her if I could use it in a post.
You will see the picture here.
In my HairShop I have an old white enamel mug with red trim, that I inherited from that house. The very one I used to drink from when Jigger used to allow me to pump my own drink of water, when I was a Kid
The walk was lovely to get out and Smell the Forest.
We met up with another Lady who also has a Seasonal Cottage up here.
It was Nice to Get out 🏞️
