Someone tried to give this antique some life back into it by adding gel stain. Great intentions, unfortunately the ex*****on made the piece look dull and muddled. I took down the top and added some new life with a mid tone neutral brown stain. Painted the body with a fresh coat of white and added dimension with black and brown wax to bring out the details. Now this is a statement furniture piece 😍

Stain: stain and finishing oil in Cappuccino
Paint: in picket fence
Wax: brown and black

Another china cabinet! This one I painted the exterior with in champness, then finished with a mixture of black and brown wax. The interior was kept the original dark work color and the hardware was polished back to a beautiful gold.

Spoiler alert: yes i finished the couch before the snow falls, and yes my doggo loves it.
