Make Room for Variety 🍽️✨

The lunchroom is more than a place to grab a bite; it’s a space to recharge, connect, and take a break from the workday.

Offering a variety of furniture options helps create a lunchroom that works for everyone. From communal tables that encourage conversation to comfortable lounge seating for a quiet reset, flexible layouts can support different people, preferences, and ways of taking a break.

In one of our most recent installs, we incorporated Teknion’s Banqs booth seating with varying screen heights to offer different levels of privacy, while still providing a comfortable cushion and bolster.
We also included the classic combination of tables and chairs, but with multiple configurations, chair counts, and varying heights for ultimate flexibility. Lounge seating was incorporated to create a more relaxed environment while also helping improve acoustics through the use of upholstered fabrics.

And the cherry on top? 🍒 Three touchdown stations with PET privacy screens. These are perfect for those days when work follows you into lunchtime or when you simply need a quiet space to yourself away from your desk for a change of scenery.

Lesson learned: The right mix of furniture can turn a lunchroom into a space people actually want to use.

Lunchrooms must meet functionality requirements while still providing comfort. The best way to do this is to provide people with an ample number of options. Whether you want to lounge around on your phone or sit down to eat, we are always sure to allow variety for each user’s unique preference.

In this healthcare application, there were several patient lunchrooms and staff lunchrooms to design, each with unique needs. Each room offers lounge furniture for those tougher days, as well as tables and chairs to sit down and refuel your body.

We also ensured to add accessible options for wheelchair users and chairs for users with mobility issues. It’s always important to consider universal design to accommodate the greatest number of users within a space, making for a more inclusive environment.

Meeting rooms must meet functionality requirements while still providing comfort with an executive feel. Power requirements are at the forefront of these designs to ensure that laptops and display screens are easily connected for virtual meetings and digital presentations. Time is money, so we want to save you time in connecting your devices with the proper power and connection specifications.

Meeting rooms are also a great opportunity to utilize branding colours, like this most recent install done by Lordly Jones.

In one of our most recent healthcare projects, we had the pleasure of specifying furniture to compliment the A&D firm’s biophilic design concepts.

Biophilic design is a methodology that integrates natural features, light, and materials into the built environment to reconnect people with nature, enhancing health, well-being, and productivity. It moves beyond aesthetics to create restorative spaces that reduce stress, boost creativity, and improve cognitive function.

This digital print wallpaper of cherry blossoms helps immerse the user into tranquility while paying homage to the history of Canada. Gifted by Japan, as a part of the Sakura Project, Ontario planted over 3,000 cherry blossom trees across the province. These trees, found in areas like Hamilton’s Bayfront Park, serve as a token of appreciation for post WWII support, and is a lasting symbol of friendship and goodwill.

We wanted to ensure this pocket lounge area complimented the importance of this design concept and allows the users to fully enjoy the space.
