Thank you for always being there.
Thank you for choosing us all those years ago.
For fifteen years you were by our side—through the good times, the hard times, and every life change in between. No matter what the day brought, there was always your happy tail waiting for us.
You made our lives so much better.
You made us a family.
You made our house a home—filled with toys, beds dragged from room to room, muddy pawprints, and so much love.
I’ll always remember the little things that were so completely you:
Going for drives and insisting on sitting in the front so you could be petted the whole way.
Bringing the flyers in from the end of the driveway.
Trading packages at the door for a well-earned bone.
Sitting together on the steps, quietly looking out the window.
Pulling your beds around the house to wherever your people were.
And wanting to play with your Allie.
You were always our good girl.
Today hurts so much because we had to let you go. But I promise you weren’t alone— we were there, holding you. And you can rest now. No more pain. Just a warm sunny place to sleep and all the cookies you could ever want.
You will never be forgotten.
