WE ARE MOVING!!!
There has been a great amount of sudden change and upheaval in most of our lives and in our methods of basic operation over the last year...
Many special events and weddings were cancelled, or held in less formal and less attended capacities. Whenever things “opened up,” clothing alterations and custom sewing continued to fall on some unknown side of a blurry line in terms of whether required pinnings/etc were fully permitted by the Province’s COVID-related orders and restrictions...
We have been able to offer very limited sewing services by way of curb side pick-up and drop-off at this location since September 2019, but not being able to see clients - to catch up and converse even if briefly - it’s been quite a loss...
I have so enjoyed the many countless conversations with so many various individuals over the many (13!) years I’ve been in full-time operation of this business. I had the pleasure of developing a great rapport with and getting to know most of my clients in more than a simple pant-hemming capacity.
Many of those clients may already know that for many years, my family and I were hoping to find a parcel of land somewhere where we could enjoy more quiet and natural settings, and this year, we have managed to do just that!
Once we relocate to our new home out-of-town in July, we will be routinely returning to Guelph, and can arrange in advance to provide convenient pick-up services at your location for sewing projects, providing a drop-off of the completed items two or more weeks later.
We look forward to continuing to offer sewing services to our lovely neighbours in Guelph, particularly those which aid in prolonging the life of articles and those which utilize preexisting and/or second-hand materials, diverting unnecessary waste from our landfills.️ ❤
Thank you so much to every single person who has supported this business over the many years - you have all contributed directly to my ability to be able to be very present with my children and to help find a balance of work-life that afforded me the flexibility needed to volunteer with so many wonderful organizations that serve to help make this City as great (and green) as it is.
Wishing (as we all are, I’m sure) for brighter days not far ahead which will hopefully be less fearful and more familiar!

And now, Phase One of Ontario's Reopening Plan has begun, and after inquiring with the Stop the Spread Business Information Line, I am happy to report that we are now permitted to provide in-person consultations and pinnings again!
Appointments will continue to be required to be booked in advance, capacity will be limited to one client at a time, hand-sanitizer will be provided, and masks will continue to be mandatory during appointments.
