BEHIND THE SCENES With the ongoing advancements in technology, it is easier than ever to communicate. The segment of elderly Canadian citizens did not grow up with this at their finger tips. One can only imagine how ‘frustrating’ and or ‘shocking’ this would be for the millennial generation. Mobile technology has provided the vast majority of Canadian citizens with immediate communication, navigation systems, internet, and much more. We have never been so connected!
Within our circle of family and friends we often call on them for various sources of help. For some people the size of their circle continues to decrease and their need for help exponentially grows. As a property owner the repetitive maintenance involved can become both a physical and timely burden. That work evidently out grows the ability and health of the homeowners.
IT WAS CLEAR While servicing the Guelph region the various requests from homeowners fell under three main categories: Moving, General household help, and Property Upkeep. At one point, this work would have been internally contracted out to a family member or close friend/neighbor. Although, for those with a tight circle or no circle at all, the work would be left undone with the absence of help to blame. Upon hearing many stories of this, it was clear that a general help service would greatly benefit a niche market of those in need. INFORMING THE PUBLIC Now the time has come to inform the public about the utility of Hire-EH-Hand. It is sad to hear people struggling to find general help that is trust worthy and most importantly DEPENDABLE. The traditional ways of finding help (asking your neighbor or going online) has become frustrating and nevertheless a one sided relationship. It was apparent that there is value added through reputation, dependability, and the overall rapport between the customer and the helper.
