This was a fun project, I love designing spaces for function and style.
The Fernie hospital was renovating the doctors lounge and required a mailbox cabinet to accommodate 42 mail slots 12 chart slots and a recycle area.
All slots have a cove for aesthetic and trimmed in cherry.

Just back in Fernie from setting the show up, it’s more spectacular than I imagined.

The Southern Alberta Woodworkers Society brings together some of the finest woodworking in Western Canada.

I submitted my pieces to the juried event where each piece is judged by a panel of qualified professionals. My piece, The Bridge Bench won 3rd place, Best Overall.

The exhibit runs September 1 - 10 at Southcentre Mall in Calgary. It is recognized as the top woodworking exhibit in Western Canada.

I’m so pleased for the recognition, but please join me in celebrating other makers, the pieces on display are jaw dropping.

👀 Sneak peek at a table I’m designing for some fun clients.

It’s a custom bar height trestle table, made from quarter sawn white oak.

I’m adding a convex corner detail and I think it will look great!

A mirror is a classic design element in homes.

I designed this piece to have a deep yet elegant feel with a subtle break in the reflection by adding a curved shelf feature.

I’ve called this piece, One Last Look.
