This project originally started with a custom home bar.

After seeing the quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail, the client decided to have us take on additional projects throughout the property.

One project became another — and eventually, we had the opportunity to create multiple custom spaces throughout their home.

Drywall is almost never perfectly plumb or flat! To get our cabinet end fillers sitting completely flush against wavy walls, we use a double-groove scribing technique with a 3/4" offset guide.

Once traced and trimmed, shifting the piece to the second groove pulls it right into place with zero gaps.

Watch a live proof-of-concept test of the massive 8-foot flip-up door on our Outdoor Shed Bar V2 build!

Even without gas struts installed yet, our custom internal pivot points transfer the heavy load straight down into the main frame. This redesign prevents wind strain, enhances structural safety, and creates a massive weather-protected awning over the bar area.

Our original Outdoor Shed Bar prototype has been holding up great outdoors for over a year, but Version 2 is getting some major upgrades!

We’re crafting this unit out of marine-grade plywood (the same material used on boat decking) for lifetime weather resistance. We also engineered a custom arched roof structure that allows the large flip-up door to retract partially inside the frame, massively improving wind safety and structural balance.

Next step: mounting and testing the main door hatch!

Adam has been with us for over 13 years! He originally started in the shop, moved into cabinet drawings, and for the last 4 years has been working remotely out west near Jasper (in his pajamas, naturally).

Since he’s visiting the shop this week, we couldn't resist putting him back to work in the shop with Broden. Safe to say his hands lasted about 5 minutes before he retreated back to his computer desk!
