Congratulations to and the Arcadis Interior Design team for winning Best in Canada at the Design Awards 2024 for their stunning Edmonton office🏆

Collaborating with Arcadis is always a pleasure, as their designs consistently embody sustainability, adaptability, and innovation. We’re incredibly proud of the teamwork that brought this vision to life! 👏

The office features free-standing pods with a combination of solid and glass walls, complete with acoustic ceiling lids that seamlessly house mechanical and electrical systems. The pods are finished with a mix of veneer and Chromacoat solid wall finishes, enhancing their durability and visual appeal. The office fronts also stand at an impressive 10 feet, incorporating custom, powder-coated colours and 10 mm SonicGuard glass—ensuring both privacy and sound attenuation.

We particularly love the conscious use of light and dark, as well as custom colours throughout the space. The open, light-filled back-of-house area contrasts beautifully with the darker, more professional front-facing spaces, creating a welcoming environment for meetings, collaboration, and a lot of fun along the way.

The custom green powder-coat frames and doors also pay homage to the classic drafting tables that reflect and symbolize the design creativity so foundational to the profession. Plus, the integration of ’s plug-and-play power solution ensures flexible, future-proof infrastructure throughout the space.

Throwing it back to our work at the Northern Alberta Urology Clinic (NAUC) in Edmonton, where we successfully created a sustainable and functional space during a renovation. We even had the opportunity to incorporate some fun writeaway and custom graphic tiles!

With a month left until Christmas, the Innerspaces Edmonton office recently got into the spirit by getting together for some drinks, snacks, music, and decorating the Christmas tree at our Innerspaces Edmonton office. We hope that everyone enjoys the last few weeks leading up to the !

Innerspaces is thrilled to have been a part of the recently completed Enterprise Square project in downtown Edmonton. With Kasian designing this multi-functional, cohesive, and collaborative space, we were able to use the versatility of DIRTT Environmental Solutions to build the space.

We created breakout rooms with a bamboo thermofoil wood grain finish, black powder-coated glass panels and doors as well as 11’ walls and open ceilings, utilizing ’s integrated drop ceiling track solution. In the offices, we used 12mm glass in the frames to help minimize sound transfer and a white chromacoat painted finish to match the writeable surface back painted glass. The common area was developed to feature DIRTT’s centre pivot doors installed under existing steel beams and DIRTT’s plug-and-play power solution was utilized throughout the space.

Stephan Copeland 💡 Copeland Light

Stephan Copeland found inspiration in bicycles when he designed the beautifully kinetic Copeland Light™. The pivoting, dual-mode head can be inverted to create different light intensities appropriate to varying tasks, while the articulated spring mechanism offers dexterity and flexibility.

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Stephan Copeland has worked as a designer since 1989, when he launched Copeland Studio in Los Angeles. Currently based in Merion, Pennsylvania, the studio operates in Montreal, New York City, and Northern Italy.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe 1929 🛫 Barcelona Table

The perfect complement to the Barcelona Chair, Mies Van Der Rohe’s chrome and glass table epitomizes modern design and simple sophistication. In the 1930's, Mies Van Der Rohe was the last director of the Bauhaus school of modern art, design and architecture. After the N***s rose to power, Mies emigrated to the United States and accepted the position to head the architecture school at the Armour Institute of Technology.

The city was in full bloom for Innerspaces President, captured some moments from his trip to to meet with Innerspaces GTA's down at office on Wellington St. and we love the area!

Located in Toronto's Fashion District on Wellington St off Spadina, things were lively with outdoor amenity spaces, restaurants, and activity along the street. Not to mention all the excitement across the street at Allied Properties REIT and RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust's The Well development.

After a long period of working remotely, with zoom meetings scheduled back to back, it’s great to be able to get back to the office and meet in person once again. Innerspaces is proud to be your local DIRTT partner in Toronto, serving the GTA with future-proof interior construction solutions, exceptional project management experience, and constructability knowledge to be the best possible trade partner for your projects.

Have you ever wondered how to pronounce ’s Cesca Chair correctly? Designed in 1928 by , using tubular steel, it was named as a tribute to Breuer's daughter Francesca whose nickname was 'Cheska.'

Also, in 1928, American golfer Johnny Farrell defeated noted amateur Bobby Jones in a 36-hole playoff to win the - his only major title. Not a bad Day present to celebrate with his five kids!
