From heavy and dated to light and modern! 🕊️ I am so obsessed with how this dresser transformation turned out. Which part is your favorite: the natural wood top or the clean white finish?

You don’t always need a full furniture makeover to make a profit—or to give a piece new life in your home.

This buffet had great bones. The only thing holding it back was a worn, scratched top. Instead of painting the entire piece, I simply sanded the top, re-stained it, and sealed it. A few hours of work later, it was ready for a new home and sold within days.

Whether you’re flipping furniture for profit or furnishing your own home, don’t overlook pieces that just need a little TLC. Sometimes a scratched top, water marks, or faded finish are easy fixes that can save you hundreds compared to buying new.

$30 ➡️ $1,000 coffee table

The top had a few scratches, but instead of refinishing the entire piece, I blended custom wood tones from my touch-up kit and carefully repaired each mark with a fine artist brush.

A quick repair saved this beautiful table from being overlooked—and now it looks fantastic.

Most people would have passed on these. The tops were bubbled, they’re MDF, and definitely not a high-end piece. But for $15, a little repair work, BIN Shellac Primer, fluting, and new hardware gave them a whole new look. Sometimes the best flips are the ones everyone else overlooks.
